Eleventh Annual Festival of Organ MusicThe Organ music will feature our “mighty Moeller pipe organ” and it will be performed on Friday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m. The many sounds of the pipe organ will be presented by organists Joyce Zigler, Janet Scott, Brian Shepard, and Phil Thornbery. Trumpeter Audrey Schmid, tenor Davis Dorrough and the Women’s Chorus will add their beautiful voices to create an evening of music “From Classical to Jazz”. This concert is sure to delight all music lovers with its unique variety of music! The concert will be proceeded by Mocktails and Hors D’oeuvres served in Fellowship Hall. A Very Special Christmas RemembranceChristmas trees adorned with beautiful ornaments create some of our most special Christmas memories. The Music/Worship Ministry Team invites you to join us once again to create a Memorial Christmas Tree in the Gathering Area. This year our tree will be aglow with many 4 1/2-inch Sparkling Poinsettia Glass Ornaments. These ornaments are a limited edition so you will want to order yours early. May one or more of these lovely Sparkling Poinsettia Glass Ornaments find a home on your tree or be given as a gift for that special person. The Sparkling Poinsettia Glass Ornaments will be on display in the Gathering Area and the church office. You have the opportunity to purchase a Sparkling Poinsettia Glass Ornament in honor or in memory of a loved one. After the Christmas season you may take your lovely ornament home. You may also purchase extra ornaments as beautiful gifts. Call the church office or fill out a form on Sunday morning. The ornaments are $15.00 each and you will help to create our beautiful Memorial Christmas tree. Proceeds from the sale of the ornaments will go to the Hope House. Christian Education NotesIn-person Nursery Care and Sunday SchoolThe Christian Education Committee continues to prayerfully consider and implement safe practices to support the full participation of all ages. We continue to require universal indoor masking in these classrooms by all individuals (age 2 and older), regardless of vaccination status. Nursery Care is available for infants and children up to 5 years old every Sunday, located next to Room 110. Two childcare workers, Monique Watkins and Ingrid Cuadra, provide exceptional care for which we are grateful. Sunday School (children ages 6-12) is offered most Sundays* in the Godly Play Room following the Passing of the Peace at which time leaders will escort children to Sunday School. When worship concludes, parents/guardians will need to come to the Godly Play Room to pick up their child(ren). (*Note: This month, Sunday School will meet on 11/13, 11/20, and 11/27. We especially want to include children and youth in special worship celebrations such as Communion, Kirkin’ of the Tartans, etc.)

The delivery dates for the gifts to be taken to the Salvation Army are December 1-6.
